ESNS confirms first acts for 2021 edition 26 Nov 2020
56 up and coming artists confirmed to showcase on the digital platform
ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) reveals the first artists for its upcoming edition, taking place from January 13 - 16, 2021. The showcase festival will be fully digital for the first time and the sets will be streamed for free via the ESNS website, esns.nl, to continue its mission: promoting and circulating new European music. The first batch of acts for Eurosonic and Noorderslag includes a selection in cooperation with NPO 3FM and European national radio broadcasters united within the EBU (European Broadcasting Union), as well as nominees for the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards.

“Promoting new European talent has always been at the heart of Eurosonic and we have seen many artists go on to successful careers after showcasing at the event, including Fontaines D.C., Celeste, Christine and the Queens, Stromae, Dua Lipa, IDLES to name a few.”
“Although the performances will have to be digital only this year we are dedicated to getting the acts in front of the right people to further their careers and giving them the kick start to their careers that they deserve.”

Kodaline who performed at ESNS in 2013 said: “One of the best ways to get your music to the right ears is to apply for the festival. Highly recommended for young artists.”
The digital edition gives ESNS the opportunity to once again offer emerging European talent a large stage at Eurosonic with the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards ceremony on Friday, while Dutch talent takes centre stage on Saturday; when Noorderslag presents the traditional barometer of Dutch pop music.
FESTIVAL ACCESS AND CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS
The showcase part of the festival will be completely free. It’s recommended to register for the platform via esns.nl/tickets to get updates on new announcements and updates on the streams.
The digital platform of the conference will include panel discussions, keynotes, sessions, speed meetings, network opportunities, access to the delegates database and lots of new European music. The conference, themed ‘the road to recovery, already announced a number of key speakers including Aly Gillan (Bandcamp), Anita Barisic (Warner Chappell), Claire O’Neill (A Greener Festival), Helen Sildna (Tallinn Music Week), Keith Harris (Keith Harris Music Ltd), Michael Chugg (Michael Chugg Entertainment), Michal Kascak (Pohoda Festival), Sammy Andrews (Deviate Digital), Scott Cohen (Warner Music), Steve Strange (X-Ray Touring), Wilbert Mutsaers and Laura Kiesow (Spotify) and Tom Windish (Paradigm Talent Agency).
Registrations for the ESNS conference cost €50, and are available via esns.nl/tickets.
