Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer and recording artist MNEK has renewed his global partnership with Warner Chappell Music, the publishing arm of Warner Music Group (WMG). 

The news comes as MNEK is busier than ever with a wide range of collabs.  He co-wrote and produced the song ‘Finally (Cannot Hide it)’ from Amorphous ft. Kelly Rowland and CeCe Peniston.  Another recent release was ‘Let Them Know’ from Mabel, which they co-wrote with their close collaborators Raye and SG Lewis.  MNEK’s other current projects include writing and production work for artists such as Anne-Marie, Little Mix, Nathan Dawe, NCT Dream and Ne-Yo.

MNEK is one of the most in-demand and prolific songwriters out of the UK, having worked with the likes of Anne-Marie, Beyoncé, BTS, Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa, H.E.R, Joel Corry, Madonna, Rudimental, Selena Gomez, Stormzy and Zara Larsson. 

He started writing and producing music from a young age and by the time he was 16 he was already working with Xenomania, writing songs for the likes of The Saturdays and The Wanted. 

In 2013 he featured as a vocalist for the first time on Rudimental’s number one album Home.  A year later, he scored his first number one as a songwriter when Duke Dumont’s ‘Need U (100%)’ topped the UK singles chart.  He then enjoyed more success as an artist and a writer when he released ‘Never Forget You’ with Zara Larsson – the song hit the Top 5 in the UK and has since been certified Platinum in the UK, 3x Platinum in Sweden, 2x Platinum in Australia and Platinum in the US, and it topped the Billboard Dance Chart for three weeks. 

MNEK also contributed to, and featured on, Stormzy’s number one album Gang Signs And Prayer, singing on the standout track ‘Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 2’.  The song cracked the Top 10, charting at number seven.  MNEK then co-wrote Dua Lipa’s hit ‘IDGAF’, which charted at number three in the UK, has over a billion streams and became a worldwide smash. 

His debut album Language was released in 2018 and received critical acclaim across the board, appearing in a number of ‘Best Albums of the Year’ lists, including those of Billboard, Idolator, MusicOMH and Paper. 

He co-wrote and featured on 2020’s biggest selling UK single – ‘Head & Heart’ with Joel Corry.  The song spent six weeks at the top of the UK singles chart, selling more than 1.1 million copies over just 19 weeks.  The song also enjoyed huge international success, landing in the Top 10 charts of countries including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand and Sweden. 

MNEK also co-wrote and executive produced on the Little Mix album Confetti, which charted at number two in the UK, and went Top 10 in markets from Australia to Spain.  Among the songs from the album that he co-wrote was ‘Sweet Melody’, which topped the UK charts in January. 

MNEK has also become a regular on UK TV in the last few months, appearing on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK as a celebrity judge and featuring in the current series of Celebrity Gogglebox.  He also presents his own online show on Apple Music’s Proud Radio.
