We say

London-based five-piece Curse Of Lono formed in 2015 when singer Felix Bechtolsheimer left his previous band Hey Negrita after releasing four records and building a loyal following on the live circuit. A debut four-song EP in October launched this latest project and now comes the first single from critically acclaimed album Severed, released this week. Praise so far has come from Mojo, Uncut, Louder Than War, Classic Rock here in the UK and Paste, Magnet, Under The Radar, college radio and many others following suit in the US. Huey Morgan at Radio 2 has been a supporter too, and their last two gigs at Servant Jazz Quarters and The Islington sold out over a month in advance. Today (April 20) there’s a lunchtime media showcase in London at The Social on Little Portland Street, then another gig later this evening at Water Rats. Next week sees an in-store performance and signing session at Rough Trade on April 27, and the band will also play Camden Rocks on June 3. Prepare to succumb to the primal beats which lure you in on this superb rootsy, bluesy stomper that's impossible to resist.
