ReBalance moves from strength to strength as three finalists are confirmed to support some of the best bands in the world, ReBalance confirms its own showcase at this year’s The Great Escape, Sessions #2 is revealed. Launching in 2017, Festival Republic together with PRS Foundation has seen hundreds of nominations and industry panellists, resulting in 13 finalists for the ReBalance programme which provides five days of recording time in Old Chapel studios to a UK based core female identified band, musician or solo artist, as well as a slot at a Festival Republic or Live Nation Festival.
Renowned for emerging talent from across the globe, and the perfect setting to discover the next big thing, ReBalance is pleased to reveal that it will have its very own showcase at this year’s The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. Taking place on Thursday 9th May at The Queen’s Hotel in the AIM House, Festival Republic together with PRS present a matinee show not to be missed as London’s own Lazy Day, freestyling story teller TrueMendous, indie dreamboats The Van T’s, Scotland via Leeds’ Tamzene, and Brighton’s own Projector, are becoming the nation’s ones to watch. Projector, Lazy Day, and TrueMendous will also play elsewhere at The Great Escape weekend.
Following a successful first edition, ReBalance Sessions returns to London’s Old Blue Last on Tuesday 21st May 2019 for a FREE night of emerging talent. Lined up to play is TrueMendous off the back of recently released EP P.S. This Is Your Father Calling, Birmingham’s award-winning Lady Sanity, Liverpool based producer and DJ M T Hall, and electro pop rising star LUNA. Book your tickets here!
Hailing from Glasgow and performing at Community last year, The Van T’s have landed themselves a gig with the legendary Foo Fighters at their Glasgow date on 17th August. Releasing the highly praised EP Letters which was recorded at the Old Chapel with Steph Marziano, just last week, Lazy Day will support Bloc Party in both Manchester on 5th July, and Glasgow on 9th August, where Bloc Party will perform their seminal album Silent Alarm in full. The spirit of 90s punk came alive at Latitude Festival last year with Projector dominating The Alcove Stage, and now the Brighton three-piece are doing the same all over the UK with fellow punk rockers The Xcerts including earlier this week at The Garage in London.
2019 is looking to be a great year for other acts too, as festival slots have been confirmed for Æ Mak, and TrueMendous at Reading & Leeds Festival, Lady Sanity joins the Wireless Festival line up, and Community and Latitude have Lazy Day added.
